How This Works

The unique environment of the woods combined with the classroom in the woods allows young people to gain outdoor education qualifications in a carefully monitored environment with experts as well as access their core academic subjects (maths, english, science).

Young people experience half of each day working with a forest school approach to complete outdoor education qualifications. The benefits of being outdoors are evident in the improved attitude and behaviour of young people. They learn to take responsibility and learn how to respect the environment they are in. They quickly grow in confidence as they see the results they achieve.

Half of the day is spent in the classroom in the woods using google classroom to learn using individual programmes with qualified teachers giving support and one to one teaching. Young people quickly learn to be responsible for their own learning and reflect on their learning with a journal.
